Welcome! Or perhaps, welcome back.

Thanks for visiting Steal This Wiki, a collaborative update and rewrite of Abbie Hoffman's seminal work, Steal This Book. Steal This Wiki has been stolen back and is now under new management. This website is a part of Dark n Edgy's Mutually Beneficial Network. Note that we are currently rewriting a lot of the pages on this wiki, with a focus on quality control, and the more help we can get, the better. We have recently finished transferring all available pages from a static copy found online and plan on rewriting quite a few pages and adding new ones over the next few weeks.

The project is divided into three major categories.

  • Survive is a primer on basic survival and living. Here, you will find information on everything from how to eat on the cheap, getting through high school, living on the street, drugs, and much more.
  • Fight is focused on resistance. Topics range from the use of firearms, leadership skills, the internet, communication and going on the run, among other counter-authoritarian activities.
  • Lastly, Liberate is a section focused on individual cities written from a free spirit's viewpoint. If you are stuck in a small town going nowhere and want to leave for adventure, Free Cities may have some good information for you!

Write it!

We look forward to seeing what you can contribute to the project. Just take a quick look at our guidelines and then jump in editing and expanding. We are temporarily requiring users to request an account, however, due to excessive spam and a lack of staff. Feel free to discuss the project, and related issues, in our forum or via talk pages. If you need help finding something to work on, check out: ImproveQuality page and help reword / rewrite some pages.

Be sure to keep up with all the latest edits and changes on the Recent Changes page on the sidebar. You can keep up with the talk pages and what other contributors have been working on and discussing.

You can also help by getting the word out. You can tell others about the site, email out copies of the book, make it available for download in new places, give print copies to friends or others, leave them in libraries, or quote material in New Work.

If you see any errors while browsing the wiki, please feel free to correct them or discuss fixing them in a talk page!
